This Traditional Japanese style Tanto knife is made with a high carbon bearing race steel blade. It was hand forged, and water quenched without clay. The habaki is wrought iron, and was made from an 1800’s bridge spike.
The handle and matching scabbard are made from sassafras wood. It is constructed in the traditional Japanese fashion, hand carved to snuggly fit together, and glued with a traditional rice glue.
It is a must have for collectors of Japanese weapons, and knife enthusiasts alike.
